Author's note:

X-Flat is the second version of my inaptly named Gauntlet: Not the other version.

I have made many major improvements to it while keeping the fast-paced action and difficulty that kept G:NtOV (wow, what a messed up acronym) fun. I managed NOT to rip any music from vgmusic.com this time, and instead stuck with completely original compositions from me and many others.

Please have a look at the credits! Anyway, this version features (in order from least to most important:) a less boring starfield, cooler explosions, enemies that drop money, different varieties of enemies, and cooler bosses. There are also a couple (but just a couple) of secrets that you can unlock in the game. My personal high score is 109820. Can you beat it?

Note: If you have any experience whatsoever with scrolling shooters, I suggest you not play on the easiest difficulty. The score potential sucks and you'd be pretty bored for most of the game.
