Author's note:

I never really played Rally X when I was a kid, but I did play clones called 'Radar Rat Race' and 'Auto Chase'. Always seemed to be a nice challenge, what with determining when to use your smoke/oil slick, whilst trying to keep an eye on the radar to make sure you didn't collide with the enemy cars.

Anyway, remade this for an Easter themed competition, but ran out of time and didn't get an easter mode implemented, so that's life eh?

Gameplay:

Steer your car around the track, picking up the flags on the screen, without crashing in to other cars, or rocks.
Drop smoke behind you to temporarily delay the baddies when they are on your tail, but this increases your fuel consumption.
If fuel runs out, you'll die a horrible death
Hint: For maximum points, try and pick up the bonus 'magenta' flag first (check your radar).

Oh, and I've included both an original graphics mode, and a modernized theme...take your pick

Controls:

Cursor keys to steer
Space to drop smoke trail, or...
Gamepad/joystick can also be used.
