Galacticards is the title of the upcoming playing card-oriented space strategy game from Killer Bee Software. Galacticards is not a deep and involved strategy game as is Empire Deluxe or The Perfect General. Instead it is a quick game with turns lasting under a minute. But make no mistake, there is still quite a bit of depth to the decision making that is required to stay on top of the Universe.

In Galacticards, five players start out with a home world, some defensive ground units, and a hand of five cards with which they begin their struggle to become the largest species in space

Players must make choices every turn to improve their situation, or defend against possible raids from one of four other players, as well as pirates, space monsters and aliens. The final objective for each player is to have had the most members of their species throughout the game.

Galacticards is based on a playing card paradigm with the cards representing actions and capabilities of each player. The game is turn based, with players playing at least two cards a turn, and drawing new cards from a partially exposed deck.

There are seven primary types of cards in Galacticards. Each give a player a different opportunity within his space empire.
